Hi you guys! It has been a while since I did a post on how to actually book your session here at Specialty Photography, so I thought now is a great time to do that, before we get into the busy time of year! Christmas!!
It is so easy to book with us and to have your own Custom Photography Session that is planned and designed for you and your family.
The session fee for Maternity, Newborn, Children, Milestones (cake smash), Seniors, Families is $100 +sales tax
and that includes....
- your portrait consultation (in person or via phone) this helps us to prepare to bring your vision together for your session.
- time and talent of the photographer
- your time and date secured on our studio calendar
- use of our studio property, set designs, props, client clothing closet, etc.
- your premiere ordering appointment or private online gallery
- your professionally edited images to preview
**No prints, products or digital images are included in the session fee
All items subject to Texas State Sales Tax 8.25%
To book the session you can use our Contact us form on the website and we will call you to take your session fee over the phone and to secure a date and time for your session. Then we start the fun part of planning your session. Your session can be in the studio, on the studio property or we can pick a location of your choice around the DFW area.
Once you book your session and we secure your date and time, you will receive a client guide that will help you prepare for the type of session you have booked, you will also receive our client questionnaire form that will help us get to know you and your family a little better, and to see what your goals are for your session. We then have a consultation over the phone or you can come into the studio to visit with us for your consultation/planning. If we do your consultation in person, you can pick up a printed product guide, see product samples, and tour the studio prior to your session. This is helpful, especially if you have never met us before. Either way works fine though, just let us know at booking which way you want to do your consultation.
We also have a Minimum Order amount for each session that we do here at Specialty Photography. This amount is applied to your account to use towards printed portraits, photo products, digital images or a mixture of them all. You get to pick exactly what YOU want to purchase from your session. You are not locked into a preplanned package at booking.
The minimum order amount for Newborn, Family and Senior sessions is $300
(these sessions are typically 1.5 to 2 hours and newborn sessions are 2.5 to 3 hours) which provides you with more images to choose from.
The minimum order amount for Maternity, Milestone and Children sessions is $200
(these sessions are typically 45 minutes to hour)
The minimum order amount is due on or before your session date. We typically invoice these two days prior to your session and you can that online or you can pay it at your session. Either way works perfect. This is then applied as a full print credit for your session.
Once we complete your session, you will get a sneak peek with 2-3 days of your session. Sometimes sooner :) Your full gallery is ready within 7-10 days after your session.
At this point you can choose to come back into the studio for a complimentary ordering appointment where we will showcase your entire session in a beautiful video. Then we go through your images 1 by 1 (projected onto a large screen) and let you select your favorites. It is so much easier to shop from your favorite images rather than the full gallery. We love being able to help clients this way. Plus.... in the studio you can see frame corners, canvas gallery wraps, albums and more to know what will be the best way to display your portraits. You can even see amazing photo gift items that are great for family members.
However, we realize that schedules sometime do not allow for this extra appointment and you might prefer to simply view your gallery through our private online gallery. This is shareable to family and friends, that you choose to share the password and link with. Totally up to you. It is never given out from us here at the studio. The private online gallery is available for two weeks. There is a small reactivation fee if you need it reactivated to complete your order. We are still available to help you put together prints and packages, through phone calls and emails.
So whichever way you want to view your gallery of images, is totally up to you and your family. Just let us know while we are planning your session and we will have that ready to go when your gallery is ready to view.
I know that is quite a bit of info, but you can see we have a whole process to help you from start to finish to make your photographic experience with Specialty Photography run smoothly and to get the images you want for your family.
